ide It is a day to check on yourself

And those around you

Remember it is #worldmentalhealthday . It is meant to be a day of awareness, a day to just pause for a minute and ask:

📝How are you feeling?

✔ Ask yourself

✔ Ask those around you

✔ If you are in charge of people, don’t delegate

✔ If you are not an expert in mental health and people’s well being, don’t accept being delegated this task

✔ “Why don’t you take few days off” is a sign that you have noticed, but also a sign that you are a bit too late to notice.

✔ If you are in charge, seek expert help on how to help.

✔ Toxic environments come in many shapes and forms, but remember arrogance and ignorance can lead to a toxic environment as well.

My tip for this awareness day: This week, follow people/brands/work that make you feel good or make you question things. Talk to them, have a conversation. Some of them are really fantastic individuals, some are just marketing experts. Not all of us has all the answer, yet some of us are really good listeners, some are really good connectors, some just have an unbelievable wide shoulder.

Don’t settle for the “yeah but we are all suffering these days…” say thank you, and walk away from this conversation, this is a sign of abuse building up. If your manager reacts with” look at me, I am working twice as you…” whenever you open up, walk away from this conversation. This is abuse.

I read this is somewhere: Are you a good person in person?

Love it. It scares me.

We aren’t all fortunate with the ability and circumstances to walk away from an incident/job/relationship just like that. Some are really stuck or under certain pressure or a responsibility to stay. Whatever the situation is, try to seek help at least. Sometimes a single conversation can be lead to a better state.

I will most likely not have the answers you are looking for, but I love a good conversation, and my “channel of communication” is always open, sadly even to spammers.
